Purpose
In an effort to improve retention, The Tutorial & Academic Enhancement Center at Nicholls State University is committed to assisting students in enhancing their learning potential and developing proficiency in their academic endeavors.
The center provides daytime peer tutoring to students enrolled in biology, chemistry, foreign language, history, mathematics and physics. Tutors are available for computer science in Peltier Hall; and writing consultants assist students in 160 Beauregard Hall.
A non-structured walk-in service and evening hours are also available. A one-time application fee is charged for each course per semester.
Athletes are afforded the opportunity to study and obtain tutoring help most evenings.
