Associate Professor of Accounting

Although new to Nicholls State University,
Dr. Nelsestuen lived in Louisiana several
years prior to Hurricane Katrina.  She
taught at the University of New Orleans
from 2001 to 2006 before relocating to
Florida.  She and her husband are very
happy to be back in Louisiana.

Dr. Nelsestuen has been teaching accounting
courses since 1987 and has a Bachelors degree
in Accounting from Roosevelt University, a
Masters degree in Taxation from Northern Illinois
University and a Ph.D. in Accounting from the
University of South Florida.  Dr. Nelsestuen did
work in practice in between degrees and has
experience in both public and corporate accounting.
