Accounting Club
The Accounting Club is organized to help students develop leadership abilities and gain an appreciation of the accounting field. The organization also provides relevant information to other students interested in accounting careers and arranges meetings with accounting professionals to aid in the understanding of practical accounting in the “real world.”
The Institute of Management Accountants student chapter works in conjunction with the Accounting Club. In addition to the objectives and activities of the Accounting Club, the IMA offers valuable information about the Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager certifications. These two designations offer students alternatives to the Certified Public Accountant designation for those students who are not sure if public accounting is right for them. Membership will also give students access to awards and scholarships not available to non-members.
