Renee Thibodaux wanted to attend a college that not only boasted of its high-class academics but also had a friendly caring atmosphere. At Nicholls State University, Thibodaux found smiling faces and professors and students willing to collaborate.
Thibodaux says great professors, challenging accounting courses and peer study groups at Nicholls helped prepare her for her current role as a staff accountant at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Houma. Thibodaux’s advice to current Nicholls students is to continue pursuing an education.
“No one can take away your education,” Thibodaux says. “Set goals and stick to them. Don’t shy away from getting into study groups with classmates.”
