The “close community feeling” and interactions with faculty and staff members are what Tara LeBoeuf misses most about Nicholls State University. And, it’s not a wonder.
Now a senior accountant for Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick’s CPAs in Morgan City, LeBoeuf was heavily involved in her department and numerous extracurricular activities during her college years. LeBoeuf, a Nicholls Hall of Fame graduate, was co-captain of the Colonelettes dance team, president of both the Accounting Club and Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Fraternity and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma.
LeBoeuf continues her involvement by currently serving as treasurer of the College of Business Administration Alumni Association.
Her advice to current students is to take advantage of every opportunity to become involved. Which was LeBoeuf’s most memorable experience at Nicholls? “There’s too many to recount,” she says.
