Stacy LeJeune
Instructor of Accounting
Stacy LeJeune is a CPA who earned both her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Nicholls. She began her career as an accountant for Lafourche National Bank, where she worked for 10 years. During those years, she helped the bank through two mergers and one franchise affiliation. Lafourche National Bank eventually became what is now known as Capital One Bank in Thibodaux.
LeJeune then became the head accountant at Lafourche Parish School Board, where she was employed for 9 1/2 years. LeJeune, who worked under four different superintendents, was responsible for the supervision of the individual school’s bookkeepers. She also helped prepare financial statements for the school board’s numerous funds and invest $50 million in bond proceeds for capital improvements.
LeJeune’s most recent position before coming to Nicholls was controller/assistant finance manager of Pride Offshore, a division of Pride International, one of the top five drilling contractors in the world. She spent 2 1/2 years in Houma supervising the accounting department and learning about the oil and gas industry.
Over the past several years, LeJeune has keep her ties to Nicholls by teaching as an adjunct instructor of accounting, participating in alumni functions, and serving as a member of the Accounting Department Advisory Board.
Stacy LeJeune is the faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi (beginning Spring 2010 semester).
