Adult Learners

If you are age 25 or older, and have never been to college, you are classified as an adult learner. This means that there are no admissions requirements for you to attend the university, however you will have to take an ACT COMPASS test in order to determine your placement in math and English and provide a copy of your high school transcripts or GED.

If you are age 25 or older and have attended another college or university, then you are considered a transfer student and we will need transcripts in order to make an admission decision.

Adult learners are eligible to take either the ACT test in order to determine their placement, or the Compass test. The Compass is a placement test that provides placement in English and math. For more information, please contact the Testing Office at 985-493-2599.
