International Undergraduate Admission Requirements
International Students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at Nicholls State University must submit the following documents:

Summary of Educational Background by Years Form
Official Secondary School Transcripts with Official English Translation
Official Certification of Degree Earned with Official English Translation
ACT or SAT score Report
TOEFL score Report
Affidavit of Support and Financial Statement
Immunization Form
Housing form and housing deposit
Official transcripts and course descriptions from previous university work (if transferring as an undergraduate student)
Copies of current I-20 & I-94 form (if transferring to Nicholls from within the United States)
Transfer Advisor form (if transferring to Nicholls from within the United States)

Application for Admission with $30 application fee
The Admission process starts when the Office of International Student Admissions receives your application. You are encouraged to apply online to speed up the process. If you apply online, the application fee must be paid in order for your application to be reviewed. The application form can also be downloaded and mailed to us.

The application must be returned with a $30.00 non-refundable application fee. Checks must be drawn on a U.S. Bank. Cash is accepted if brought to the Office of Admissions. The Office of Admissions also accepts properly endorsed Traveler’s Checks. Your application will not be processed until the fee is received.
Summary of Educational Background by Years Form
This form enables us to evaluate the educational background of our prospective students. Please complete the form beginning with primary school through the institution of last attendance.
This form must be filled out and sent along with your application to the Office of International Student Admissions.

The TOEFL enables us to evaluate the English proficiency of our prospective students. It is a necessary requirement for Admission to Nicholls State University.
Students should arrange to take the TOEFL as soon as they decide to attend a U.S. university. The student should allow sufficient time in case they have to retake the TOEFL to meet the required scores.
Original results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must be sent directly to Nicholls State University from ETS. The Institution Code for Nicholls is 6221.

Affidavit of Support and Financial Statement
The Affidavit of Support is necessary for the student to prove he/she has sufficient funds to finance one year of study at our University. The student must complete the first part of the form and the student’s sponsor must completethe second part. A financial institution must either sign and stamp the bottom portion of the form or provide verification of funds in a letter on their letterhead.Affidavit of Support (Adobe Acrobat Required)
NOTICE: The Office of International Admissions requires original financial documentation. PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Immunization Form
All enrolled students at Nicholls (born after January 1, 1957), must provide written proof of immunization.
A completed Proof of Immunization Form must be completed and on file in the University Health Services Office. Blank forms are available in the Admissions Office and in Health Services. The form should be completed and signed by a physician or parish health unit.

Housing form and housing deposit
Students who will need housing must complete the housing application form and submit the necessary housing deposit. Information on housing and forms can be found at www.nicholls.edu/housing.
