Educating students … preparing future allied health care professionals.

Cardiovascular Technology

The Cardiovascular Technology concentration (AHCV) under the Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences has been identified as one of the academic programs being impacted by the current budgetary constraints placed on Nicholls State University.

Students interested in a career in Cardiovascular Technology are being encouraged to pursue the Cardiopulomary Care Science program which can provide the student with a specialization pathway in cardiovascular science.  Many Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) are duel credentialed as both a CVT and RRT (Registered Respiratpry Therapist).

Any student who would like additional information regarding becoming a Cardiovascular Technologist is asked to contact the Department of Allied Health Sciences at 985-493-2624 to schedule a meeting with a faculty advisor.  The Allied Health faculty members continue to serve as an excellent resource for professional career counseling and academic advising.
