Art History

The Nicholls Division of Art offers art history courses in ancient, medieval, renaissance/ baroque, modern and non-western art. Students who plan to enter graduate study in art history should take courses in all of these areas.

In the upper division courses, students will gain understanding of the methodology of art history and historiography. The level of study moves from the general to the more specific.
