Deborah (Deb) Lillie hails from Ann Arbor, Mich. She relocated to the South to earn her M.F.A. with concentrations in photography and sculpture from Louisiana State University. To this day, her work continues to involve both disciplines.

After graduation, Lillie taught sculpture and beginning design part time at Loyola University New Orleans and Xavier University. Lillie joined the Nicholls art faculty in 1998. Since then, she has served as the Ameen Art Gallery director and has taught a variety of classes including art history, art appreciation, beginning design and all levels of photography.

Currently, Lillie serves as co-faculty adviser for the Nicholls Art Club and Kappa Pi International Honorary Art Fraternity.
