Bio:

Joseph Holsapple received his BFA in Painting and Drawing from Memphis College of Art in 2003. He received a travel award to study abroad at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland in 2001. He also received the Graduating Senior Award in llustration. He received his MFA in Painting from Indiana University in 2009. Upon graduating, he was awarded a Future Faculty Teaching Fellowship. He taught courses at Indiana University, Heron School of Art in Indianapolis, and Vincennes University before coming to Nicholls.

Accomplishments:

Holsapple has exhibited regionally and nationally, including juried shows at First Street Gallery and Blue Mountain Gallery in New York City, Manifest Gallery’s Fresh Paint Biennial in Cincinnati, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans. Holsapple’s work has been featured in Manifest Gallery’s International Painting Annual and Fresh Paint Magazine.
