Instructor of Art (Graphic Design)
Education: Contact Information: Trisha Zeringue Dubina is a junk collector … for good reasons. “I live for flea markets, estate sales and good bargains,” Dubina explains. “I love to incorporate my finds into my design work whenever possible. The colors from vintage fabric, interesting textures or odd shaped bottles I find in the strangest places become my inspiration.” As a graduate student in Houston, Dubina participated in a three-week intensive study called, DeProgram: Design in the Netherlands. This experience allowed participants to meet and work alongside some of the most notable names in contemporary design. Back in Thibodaux, Dubina founded her design studio, Strukture, in January 2006. Before relocating back to Thibodaux, she worked for Times Infinity, a brand design/discipline firm and taught at the University of Houston. She also designed for various clients such as Sotheby’s Auction House and Hibernia Bank. In July 2006, she began her service on the Board of Directors for American Institute of Graphic Arts New Orleans Chapter and is the faculty adviser for the Nicholls AIGA student group. “I like that both students and art faculty are so open to learn and discuss current issues that surround the design field today,” she says. “Creativity is so addictive, and there’s a lot of it going on here!” |
