Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with an Art Education Concentration

In addition, the Department of Art also offers minors in:

Studio (with the completion of 24 hours in art, with at least six hours in 300-level or above courses)

Students interested in the Department of Art should know that a minimal number of courses is offered in the evening. Completion of any of the degree programs requires daytime enrollment.

Exhibition opportunities and requirements

Exhibition opportunities for student include an annual juried student exhibition and the Kappa Pi International Art Fraternity Exhibition, both held at the Ameen Art Gallery upstairs in Talbot Hall.

All art students must complete ART 499, consisting of a one- or two-person exhibition or an internship before graduation. Graduating seniors must reserve calendar dates for their degree exhibition in the gallery the semester prior to graduation.
