		<description>When hiring contractors, there is also less strain on other resources, and the need, for example, to hire doctors and nurses at hospitals, provide on post housing and schools for families, etc. will also be lower. Additionally, if a contractor gets killed or injured, Uncle Sam isn&#039;t on the hook for any of those costs either. There&#039;s also no retirement pay or VA disability to pay for long down the road.</description>

		<description>I agree with the part that talks about the draft in the Vietnam war. The draft made more soldiers for the war, but since no draft has occured for the the current war there is a shortage. If the benefits of soldiers were increased i dont think it would make people want to join the army. People such as I would rather stay on U.S. soil and attend college and stay out of harms way. Nurses are needed but pay should be considered upon experience.</description>
