The mission of the Bayousphere Research Lab is to enhance the scientific and public understanding of floodplain ecosystem processes and the importance of these processes to native aquatic organisms of the Louisiana Bayou Region. Dr. Quenton Fontenot and Dr. Allyse Ferrara are the co-directors of the lab and oversee a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate-level research projects. Dr. Fontenot and Dr. Ferrara are associate professors in the Department of Biological Sciences at Nicholls State University. The Bayousphere Research Lab is located in room 303 Gouaux Hall.
