Student Organizations
Membership in the Nicholls Biology Society and/or Pre-Professional Medical Association provides students an opportunity to participate in community service projects and talk with fellow students about careers and graduate school.
Biology Society
The Biology Society attracts students from all biology concentration areas. Members undertake a variety of service and social activities, including visits to the coast for marsh replantings and to the swamps for identifying frog calls.
Students of any classification may join by contacting Dr. Allyse Ferrara or Dr. Gary LaFleur, advisers.
Pre-Professional Medical Association
Students preparing to enter health care professions are encouraged to join the Pre-Professional Medical Association. The organization participates in service and social activities, hosts deans of admission from state medical centers and arranges trips to tour health care schools.
Students of any classification may join by contacting Dr. John Doucet or Dr. Marilyn Kilgen, advisers.
