The Civil Service Advisory Committee is established as an ad hoc University committee. The function of this committee is to create a means of communication between the classified employees and the administration of Nicholls State University.
It will be the responsibility of each member to continuously evaluate the consensus of their peers by seeking ideas and views concerning their employment. It is desired that this will allow classified employees to be informed of what is going on at the University and for them to make their feeling and opinions known concerning items of interest to them. The work of the committee will be coordinated through the Director of Human Resources who also functions as the appointing authority for University Classified employees and is the ombudsman for classified employees.
This committee is not a policy maker but a sounding board for feelings, opinions and concerns.
