2011 SUMMER SESSION

The terms and dates for Summer Session are as follows:
Full Term: 06-02-11 to 08-01-11
Mini-A: 06-02-11 to 06-30-11
Mini-B: 07-05-11 to 08-01-11

JUNE 2011
1 Regular registration for summer Full Term and Mini Term A ends and  web registration  closes at  4:15 p.m.
Late registration and administrative drop/add begins at 4:15 p.m. All registration activity after 4:15 p.m. will occur in the Registrar’s office.
Student must register by 4:15 p.m. to avoid late registration charge.
Student must “unregister” by 4:15 p.m. to receive full refund and avoid processing charge.
Student must pay tuition and fees by 4:15 p.m. to avoid late payment charge.
Registration for Mini Term B remains open via Banner Self Service.
2 Classes begin for Full Term and Mini Term  A.
Registration for Mini Term B continues via Banner Self Service.

Statistics Day for Mini Term A.

Final date to apply for graduation for fall commencement.
Statistics Day for Full Term.
20 Last day to drop or resign with a W from Mini Term A.
27 Last day classes for Mini Term A.
28 Final exams for Mini Term A classes.
30 Grades due for Mini Term A.
JULY 2011
1 Regular registration for Mini Term B ends at 4:15 p.m.

21 Last day to drop or resign with a W from Mini Term B.
22 Final date for filing approved thesis.
25 Final exams for Full Term MW  night classes.
26 Final exams for Full Term TTh night classes.
27 Last day classes for Full Term day classes and Mini Term B classes.
28 Final exams for  Full Term sections 1AB, 2AB, 5AB and 6AB.
Final exam for Mini Term B  sections  12B and 56B.
Final exams for  Mini Term B  night classes.
29 Final exams for Full Term sections 3AB, 4AB, 7AB, 8AB.
Final exams for Mini Term B sections 34B and 78B.
AUGUST 2011
        1 Final grades due at 9:00 a.m. for Full Term and Mini Term B.
Summer session ends.

AUGUST 2011
11 Fall semester begins. Faculty Institute.
16 Transfer student seminar.
Regular registration ends and Web registration closes for fall semester at 4:15 p.m.
Late registration and administrative drop/add begins at 4:15 p.m. All registration activity after 4:15 p.m. will occur in the Registrar’s Office.
Student must register by 4:15 p.m. to avoid late registration charge.
Student must “unregister” by 4:15 p.m. to receive full refund and avoid processing charge.
Student must pay tuition and fees by 4:15 p.m. to avoid late payment charge.
17 Classes begin.
SEPTEMBER 2011
5 Labor Day holiday; university closed.
6 Classes resume.
Final date to apply for graduation for fall commencement.
Fourteenth class day (for statistical purposes).
OCTOBER 2011
1 To insure processing for next semester, priority consideration will be given to those students whose Student Aid Report is received by October 31. In order to insure that your ESAR is available to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline date, you must complete and mail your FAFSA application no later than October 1.
10 7th week grades available for students.
13-14 Fall break; no classes.
27 Advising begins for winter session and spring  registration.
NOVEMBER 2011
2 Final date for automatic W when dropping a course or resigning from the university.
3 Registration for  winter session and  spring semester begins.
7 Graduate comprehensive examinations.
16 Final date to submit thesis for final committee approval.
21-25 Thanksigiving holidays; university closed.
29 Last day of classes.
Final date for filing approved thesis.
30 Study day; faculty available. Final exam for Wednesday evening class may be given this date.
DECEMBER 2011
1 Final examinations begin.
7 Final examinations end.
8 Final grades for all students due at 9:00 a.m.
10 Commencement for summer and fall graduates at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Fall semester ends.
19 University closes at 4:30 p.m. for Christmas Holidays.

DECEMBER 2011

3 University reopens.
12 Semester begins.
