Curriculum
The computer information systems curriculum, endorsed by business and industry professionals, prepares students to analyze, design, implement and maintain information systems.
An information system is a set of people, procedures and resources that collects, transforms and disseminates information in an organization. In the past, “manual” and “informal” information systems were applied. “Pencil-and-paper” and “word-of-mouth” were used as key entities in these systems. Today, information systems are computer-based and are referred to as “computer information systems.”
