Administrative Philosophy:
I truly believe that as educators we shape the future of our students. In many cases, we as teachers influence the students’ achievements more than any other person in their lives, even more than their parents. That is why, as the dean of the college, I will try very hard to facilitate the vital task of teaching and learning for the college’s faculty and students.
My administrative philosophy is student- and faculty-centered, based on the concept that student learning is the primary focus of our university. All of my activities will serve to facilitate the teaching and learning process by providing as much as possible, the necessary support to students and faculty so that their potential as learners, teachers and scholars can be most fully realized.
Therefore, I will adopt the management style that promotes a sense of partnership, of community, of working together for a common good. This means a commitment to faculty governance and curricular ownership; open and honest dialogue; and an open-door policy with a goal to serve students, faculty, the university and the community.
