Christy Robichaux considers herself both a teacher and student. Each day she tries to learn something new and stay involved in the therapy process to ensure the most appropriate care and treatment regimen for her clients.

“Not only do I love the communicative disorders program here at Nicholls but I credit this program in molding me into the therapist that I am today,” she says.

Robichaux began at Nicholls as an adjunct instructor in fall 2006. She was hired as a full-time assistant professor in fall 2007. Prior to working at Nicholls, Robichaux worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, hospitals, school systems and home health.

“Being a Nicholls graduate, the university has always stayed close to my heart,” Robichaux says. “Our program provides a unique experience that not many other departments in Louisiana can offer. At the undergraduate level, our students receive greater than the required amount of clock hours to be employed and great clinical experiences to prepare them for graduate training.”
