Instructor and Audiological Clinical Supervisor of Communicative Disorders

Wendy Adams wants prospective students to realize that the Nicholls communicative disorders faculty and staff continue to be some of the most knowledgeable in the field and truly enjoy the opportunity to teach and introduce new students to the profession.

Adams herself is a perfect example. She is currently a doctoral student of audiology at the University of Florida, where she studies a new subject in detail every eight weeks and learns the latest in technology, techniques, methods and medical findings.

“What I enjoy most about my job is seeing students become more mature thinkers and more independent in their skills through the instruction and supervision provided by the communicative disorders faculty,” Adams, who has taught at Nicholls since 2005, says.

In addition to audiology and teaching, Adams enjoys needlework, music and other performing arts, nature and travel.
