Terisita McNabb RN, BSN,MSHSA is Vice President of Nursing Services at
Terrebonne General Medical Center.
The goal of this educational activity is to provide an understanding of the impact “Health
Care Reform” has on the institutions’ finances and quality of care from a nursing
perspective. Upon completion the learner will understand how the new patient delivery
concepts translate to staff members rendering patient care, describe how health care
reform focus on clinical outcomes and how patient experience and perceptions have a
direct impact on a hospital’s bottom line, understand how Hospital Readmissions
Reduction Program works, identify how the Value-Based Purchasing, and Hospital
Acquired Infections affect the bottom line, and identify ways to increase HCAHPS scores
through design. The target audience is RN’s.
