A Behavioral Magic Show! Building Team Work, Relationships, and Communication

LOCATION: Nicholls State University – Betsy C. Ayo Hall Auditorium

TIME: 8 a.m. (registration) until 3:30 p.m. (education activity ends)

CREDIT: 5.5 contact hours

COST: Fee includes continental breakfast, break refreshments and handouts

  • $70 for individuals
  • $35 for retired nurses age 55 or over
  • $25 for Nicholls faculty and staff
  • $25 for Nicholls students
  • $10 late registration fee for registering less than seven days prior to education activity

Speaker: 

Steve Morgan is a Motivational Speaker and Consultant. Steve graduated from ULL, University of Louisiana Lafayette with degrees in Personal Management and Psychology.  He has been a top performer with Carlson Learning Company since 1981 and was selected “The Most Promising New Human Resources Development Trainer in 1983. Steve has been engaged by several Fortune 500 companies to help motivate their employees to increase productivity and enhance communications and teambuilding.  He has entertained and delighted audiences throughout the United States since 1980 with an energetic, enthusiastic presentation style.

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this nursing continuing education activity is to explore what it takes to make a team and to identify some normal roadblocks that inhibit the team efforts. Designed to help identify primary behavior tendencies of the people around you in 60 seconds or less and to be able to communicate more effectively with them. Experience the levels of emotion and attitude change that we all go through in each and every project and relationship we enter.  Learn how to identify and monitor these attitudes in ourselves and those around us.  Explore what it takes to make up a team and identify some of the normal roadblocks that inhibit the team effort.  This activity is for all nurses who practice in any health care setting.
