Basics of American Sign Language-
Learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) from an instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching the language. You will learn how ASL is different from other sign languages used in America, a bit of deaf culture, and the basic concepts you need to know to start communicating in ASL. The course will cover basic vocabulary, numbers, fingerspelling, basic sentence structure, facial expressions, and much more. This is a fun and interesting class you’ll enjoy. Bring a friend to make practicing at home more fun!
* There is a required book for this class that you must purchase on your own. It is available at Amazon.com, and can likely be ordered from other bookstores. It is running about $41 new and $20 used on Amazon right now.

Mathematics Enrichment (Online only)
This online course includes a review of the basic skills needed to begin the study of college mathematics. Based on a diagnostic test, participants will be assigned lessons to address specific mathematical areas. The course is an online, software-driven course with an instructor on hand to provide individualized assistance, as needed. Participation in this course requires that students have an ACT-math sub-score of 17-18 or a COMPASS math score that places them into a developmental math course. Once enrolled, students will be required to purchase an access code for Pearson’s My Math Test software at a cost of $10. At the conclusion of the course, students may take the COMPASS mathematics test to determine mathematics course placement.

Conversational French-
Taught by a native French speaker, this six-week course will begin with basic French vocabulary, providing students the language foundation needed to conduct a basic French conversation. Students will gain basic fundamental knowledge of the French language.
