Beginning Spanish I

Beginning Spanish I is designed for students who have never studied Spanish and want to learn the fundamental components of the language. Students will begin with the basics of the Spanish language (phrases, basic vocabulary, pronunciation) and progress to saying simple sentences about their immediate surroundings (likes, dislikes, giving personal information, asking questions, counting, telling time, etc.)

Topics include:

  • Greetings, farewells, useful expressions, the alphabet
  • Nouns and articles
  • Numbers
  • Subject pronouns
  • Telling time
  • University vocabulary
