If you’re looking for a fun, interesting new hobby that’s great for the mind and body, this is it!
This class presents and continues to teach the essence of the ancient art of belly dance. Classes feature yoga-inspired stretching, abdominal floor work, and detailed instruction. The main focus of the class is clarity of movements and performing movements. Classes include learning tribal based choreography and learning group dances. Dancers will also rehearse choreography previously learned in beginning level classes. Dancers need to wear a long full skirt or loose pants and either short shirt /choli or a shirt that allows you to move freely…exposing the belly is not a requirement. Ethnic jewelry such as a coin belt or a scarf around your hips should be worn.
