Goals

Mission: The mission of the Office of Continuing Education is to further the University’s mission of providing learning experiences to a unique and multi-cultural community through education and community service.  This office acts as a representative agent of the University in contracting and providing quality educational programming and conferencing services to clients from both the private and public sectors.

 

Goal  #1

Recruit, Hire, & Train qualified candidate as Adm. Coordinator 2 position in Thibodaux office

Action       
HR will post position online. After the close of the posting, we will review all applicants and begin hiring process

Enroll staff in monthly training webinars to proficiently learn new registration software

Action       
Contact AceWare training coordinator to get included on webinars

Gain knowledge that enables us to use every aspect of AceWare’s registration program.

Switch over to web-based registration and Payment system

Action       
After learning the registration portion of the new software, we will switch our entire registration system to web-based

Goal  #5

Create Marketing plan to develop and build Continuing Education Program in Houma at the Duhe’ Building

Action       
Work with Activities Coordinator on marketing research. The plan is to use as many effective ways as possible to get the information out about the Houma location and the programs we will offer there

New continuing education classes, conferences, and camps at the Houma office

Work with the La Workforce Commission on becoming a viable workforce development training provider

Action       
Meet with the Training Provider Director of this area to discuss our goals for this program and decide on the best practices to achieve those goals

Partner with local companies to be their go-to long term training provider location
