Chess Camp

Come learn the art of chess with an instructor whose earned the title of  National Master from the United States Chess Federation in 1985 and has written two books on chess. He teaches at several local elementary schools and gives private lessons to people of all ages. In these camps he will teach all beginners how to play and help others improve their games by instruction and holding tournaments. Each participant will be given an official chess tournament set, vinyl roll up board, zippered pouch, and chess books worth $30. Awards will be given for the tournament on the last day of camp.

Dates:

  • Session 1: July 7-11, 2014  Fee: $150
  • Session 2: July 28-August 1, 2014  (Houma, Duhe Center, 235 Civic Center Blvd.)  Fee: $170
  • Session 3: August 4-7, 2014  Fee: $96

Time: 9am -11:30am
Instructor: Mike Papa

Location: Sessions 1 & 3 – Thibodaux, Main Campus. Session 2 – Houma, Duhe Center.

**NOTE: WHEN REGISTERING, REGISTER THE CHILD’S NAME NOT THE GUARDIAN. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING MORE THAN ONE CHILD, REGISTER EACH CHILD SEPARATELY UNDER HIS OR HER OWN REGISTRATION.
