Violence in schools is not a new issue. However, Nicholls State has made campus safety one of its top priorities and we strive to provide our students and surrounding community with the best practice strategies and methodologies available.
While University Police will continue to be our first responders, a Nicholls Review and Response team has been created to review concerns regarding faculty, staff and students who may pose a threat to the safety of the campus and/or to a specific individual or group.
All initial information received will be screened and assessed. Reports shall be received by the coordinator via e-mail, walk-in visit, memo or telephone.
