Wow, what a day.
We had so many things going on this day. It was the day
before the elections and all of the last little pushes began.
We started off the day with a showing of FahreHYPE 9/11, the
film that countered Moore's film Fahrenheit 9/11. We had
over 50 people attend this showing which we believe to be very
good. That is more than five times the number of people
who attended the
Democrats showing of Moore's film. We could not have
been happier. This was a huge success for us.
Immediately following the showing of FahreHYPE 9/11,
we ventured out to the intersection of Canal and Percy Brown in
Thibodaux to do a little sign waving. We had signs for
President Bush, David Vitter, and Billy Tauzin III.
Things at this outing could not have gone much better.
We had hundreds of people passing by who blew their horn at us
in support. Some of them making multiple passes just to
show their support. It was a lot of fun. You first
get out their and you think "this is going to be really lame,"
but then people start blowing their horns, waving at you, and
giving you thumbs up just to show their support and it gets
to be a lot of fun. I know that all of us who maked it out to
this even are looking forward to another one.
During the sing wave, a
few of us went out to the campaign rally for David Vitter at
the Houma Airport. This too was a lot of fun. We
got to hear a very good speech by David Vitter as well as meet him.
This experience was a really inspiring one. There were
so many people there and even the media was there to get this
event on tape. I hope that you enjoyed this story of the
Pre-election Monday |
