Dear Friend,
Thank you for visiting the website of the College Republicans of Nicholls
State University. Our organization strives to increase the political
awareness of the students and to promote the positive agenda of the
Republican Party on the campus of Nicholls State University. We
provide an opposing voice to the ubiquitous liberalism found every day
in the faculty and staff of our University. We stand strong in our
conservative beliefs and strive to improve our campus through our
activism.
As a
strictly political group, however, the College Republicans do not
receive any funding from the University. The support of the community
is vital to the operations of the College Republicans of NSU including
the promotion of the positive agenda of the Republican Party. For
example, we are looking to bring prominent speakers such as Ann
Coulter as well Congressmen, Senators, and former presidents to campus
to increase the awareness of politics and conservative values. We hope
to host events on issues ranging from the environment and coastal
restoration to the equal rights to the economy.
We have also been politically active by working campaigns in and
around Thibodaux as well as state wide election. You will also find
CRNSU working to help good and positive legislation that will better
our community pass and work in future election that are large and
small.
Another program that we are working on is our Environmental
Initiatives. We are looking to start a recycling program on campus as
well as participate in other efforts to preserve and improve the
environment. These initiatives are very important to us and we will
work hard to successfully start and continue them.
We
cannot, however, continue to exist without YOUR help! Please consider
being a supporter of our efforts to improve our University community
as well as the community around us. If you decide to be a supporter,
we are more than willing to keep you informed of the uses of your
contributions upon your request. We hope to rise enough funding to
attract quality conservative speakers to campus and to continue to
provide for our environmental efforts.
