Petroleum Services - A.S.
|
For students who do not follow the traditional route of pursuing a degree directly after high school, jobs in the Gulf Coast oil and gas industry are attractive options. The pay is good and employee demand is high. However, many workers find it hard to advance without a degree. The Nicholls associate degree program in petroleum services combines work experience and academic coursework to train students for management positions in the drilling, production, service and supply segments of the petroleum industry. Students in the two-year associate degree program focus on equipment, practices, problems and computations pertaining to the oil and gas industry through technical and supervisory courses. The program is intended, though not limited, to individuals who are currently working in the oilfield industry and seek career advancement. |
