Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Services
The university awards the Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Services to the student who completes the course work listed below. The curriculum is designed for personnel employed in the petroleum industry or to those seeking employment in the petroleum industry while attending school. All classes are scheduled to permit attendance of persons employed on a seven days on/seven days off work schedule.
The curriculum of technical, people oriented, and safety courses prepare the student for middle to upper level management positions in drilling or production operations, or for the service and supply segment of the petroleum industry. Students may choose a concentration in Safety Technology (PSST) or Exploration and Production (PSEP) by completing the 21 hours of courses specified.

PSET 330. Oral and Written Communications Applied to the Petroleum Industry Offshore Division. 3-3-0. Explores the use of language as a tool of management and subordinates in the petroleum service industry, especially in the off-shore division. Students focus on the vertical and lateral internal flow of communication through verbal interaction and written reports which are generated in for small group discussions, meetings, conferences, and research.
