Nicholls State and Louisiana Tech Universities have received a state grant for the preparation of early childhood interventionists (EI) in Louisiana. We are now taking applications for a one year, all-expense-paid, EI add-on certification program. This opportunity is for qualified applicants through the Louisiana Early Education Program (LEEP) grant.
Applicants must hold a Bachelors degree and teaching certification in early childhood, elementary, secondary, or mild/moderate special education. Candidates may also be currently enrolled in Masters of Art in teaching program in Early Intervention. Candidates may complete six courses (online), with face-to-face course option, between Summer 2013 and Summer 2014, in order to add-on the E.I. Certification. Click here for more information.
To apply, complete the attached LEEP Application.
Applications are due to Dr. Elizabeth Block (elizabeth.block@nicholls.edu) by April 15, 2013. You will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your application after it is received. You will be notified of acceptance into the program by April 26, 2013. For more information, contact Dr. Elizabeth Block or Dr. Leslie Jones.
