Admission Requirements
To be admitted into the Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling program at Nicholls, applicants should possess the following:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50 or better on all undergraduate work.
- A minimum formula score of 1,100 (GPA of last 60 hours x 200 + GRE score).
- Completion of 15 credits in prerequisite undergraduate psychology courses worth three credits each with a grade of C or better, including:
- General Psychology course
- Statistics and Experimental/Research Design course
- Two of the following courses:
- Abnormal,
- Measurement,
- Personality,
- Developmental,
- Learning,
- History and Systems,
- Social,
- Counseling
- and Physiological Psychology.
