Degree Requirements

Graduate coursework includes 39 academic hours plus nine hours of practicum/internship credit. Graduate courses cover topics such as:

  • Counseling Strategies with Children and Adolescents
  • Basic Facilitative Skills
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Statistical Analysis and Research Methods
  • Introduction to Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Cross Cultural Counseling
  • School Counseling Practicum I
  • School Counseling Internship I
  • School Counseling Internship II

In addition, a master’s comprehensive examination is required.
