Celebrate the diverse Nicholls community! Diversity Week activities will begin with a proclamation ceremony at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5, and conclude on Saturday, Nov. 10, when Nicholls celebrates Family Day. Immerse yourself in German culture! The Student Programming Association will sponsor German Culture Day from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Student Union snack bar area. The event will consist will a Power Point presentation and other information about German culture as well as food samplings of German cuisine.
The Nicholls Players will perform the Greek tragedy, “Oedipus the King,” Thursday, Oct. 25, through Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. in Talbot Theater. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general admission.
Support applied sciences students while enjoying French cuisine! The Department of Applied Sciences will host a fundraising dinner from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute.
Support Colonel athletics! The fourth annual Stroll for Student Athletes will raise funds for student athlete scholarships on Saturday, Nov. 10, beginning and ending in the Student Union.
Improve your interviewing skills! Professional recruiters will visit the Nicholls campus from 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, in 209 Powell Hall, to conduct practice interviews with all interested students. Following the interview, additional professionals will help participants critique their performance.
Voice your opinion! The second forum of the fall semester will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Student Union. Spend your Halloween at the Ellender Hall drive-in theater! The Student Union staff and Kappa Pi invite the Nicholls community to park their vehicles or set up their lawn chairs at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, for the showing of “1408″ on a large movie screen on Ellender Memorial Library lawn.
