Congratulations to the fall 2007 graduates!

Nicholls State University will award more than 500 degrees during its commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 15, in Stopher Gymnasium. Commencement exercises will be at 10 a.m. for graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and University College. The program for graduates of the College of Business Administration, College of Nursing and Allied Health and Chef John Folse Culinary Institute will begin at 2 p.m.

Barry Melancon, president and CEO of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Nicholls alumnus, will be the guest speaker.

The final examinations for the fall 2007 semester will be administered from Monday, Dec. 3, to Friday, Dec. 7. View the examination schedule for specific times and dates.

Enjoy good food and music in anticipation of Jubilee 2008!

Nicholls will present an evening of fine dining and music with its annual Jubilee: A Festival of the Arts and Humanities Christmas fundraiser from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The evening will include a silent auction and entertainment by organist Dr. Carol Britt, director of the School of Fine Arts; vocalist Dr. Stanley Coleman, assistant professor of speech and theater; and several Nicholls music students.

A cocktail buffet with fine wines and will be prepared by the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute.

The semi-formal fundraiser will be held at the home of Vance and Dee Dee Broussard, located at 106 Cedar Tree Drive in Thibodaux.
