Congress to Campus
Learn about government service from the pros!
Former U.S. Representatives Dan Miller (R-Fla.) and Earl Hutto (D-Fla.) will promote public service and an understanding of public policy during the Congress to Campus program scheduled for Monday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 11.
The Louisiana Center for Women and Government, in conjunction with the Lafourche Commission on Women, Stennis Center for Public Service and SGA, will sponsor a forum at 7:15 p.m. March 10 in Gouaux Auditorium.
A “grand assembly” with the congressmen will be held from noon to 1:20 p.m. March 11 in Peltier Auditorium.
The congressmen will also be available for one-on-one advisory meetings with any students who may be interested in government or public service as a career. Their office hours will be held at the Arts and Sciences Dean’s Conference Room in 124 Peltier Hall. The representatives will be there from 2:30 to 4 p.m. March 10. Appointments are recommended and can be made by contacting Dr. Glenn Antizzo at 985.448.4624 or by signing a sign-up sheet posted on his door at 245 Peltier Hall.
