International Day

Experience cultural diversity!

Nicholls will host diverse music and poetry presentations on Wednesday, April 16, during its International Day.

Teachers and students from the Lafourche Parish School System will perform live African drumming and dances from 9:40 to 10:35 a.m. on the Talbot Hall portico. Nicholls teacher education students and faculty will participate.

The day will continue with poetry readings at 9:40 a.m. in 227 Beauregard Hall and at 6 p.m. in Ellender Room of Ellender Memorial Library. Dr. Phanuel Egejuru, professor emeritus at Loyola University, will share her poetic creations during the morning session. (more…)

Roommate Matching Social

Find the perfect roommate and new friends!

Nicholls State University will host a roommate matching social on Wednesday, April 16, in the Bollinger Student Union snack bar area.

Registration and refreshments will begin at 5:30 p.m. The open house and social will begin at 6 p.m. and include tours of the residence halls, question and answer sessions for parents and roommate assignment activities. The social will offer students the opportunity to network and talk to other students who are without residence hall roommates for the fall semester. (more…)
