Colonelfest
Support Colonel athletics!
Colonelfest, a tailgating party featuring a football practice, baseball game, cook-off contest and live music, will begin at noon Saturday, April 19, on the grass field between Guidry Stadium and Didier Field.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 18 to 5 and free for children under the age of 5. Nicholls students will get free admission with their Colonel Card.
Tickets include:
- admission to football practice at noon, where fans can watch from the sidelines. Assistant coaches will be narrating on a live microphone what to look for in each drill or play. Players and coaches will be available for autographs after practice.
- a sampling of food from the cook-off, which will range from jambalaya, hamburgers and hot dogs to tender beef brisket. Food prep for the dozen cook-off teams will begin at 7 a.m. with the food being served at 1 p.m. Judging and the awarding of prizes will begin at 2 p.m.
- music provided by a DJ and live band, beginning at 1 p.m.
- admission to the baseball game vs. Northwestern State University at 3 p.m.
The event will also provide opportunities for fans to purchase Colonels merchandise, Colonel Club membership, season tickets and more. The athletic training staff will provide information and answer questions about the health of your young athletes.
Proceeds from Colonelfest will benefit the student athlete scholarship fund and summer school tuition.
