R.A.D. Self-Defense Class
Posted on Sunday, May 11th, 2008Free Rape Aggression Defense System classes will be offering from Monday, May 12, to Wednesday, May 14, in the Century Room of Guidry Stadium. R.A.D. is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. Each day’s classes will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Call 985.448.4080 for more information or to register.
The comprehensive program, which will be taught by Dr. Michele Caruso and Sabrina Laurent, begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Each student receives a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire physical defense program for reference and continuous personal growth.
