Monday, December 15th, 2008Nicholls State University will be closed from Monday, Dec. 22, to Friday, Jan. 2, in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays. Spring intersession classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009.

Fall Commencement
Wednesday, December 10th, 2008Congratulations to the fall 2008 graduates!Nicholls State University will award more than 500 degrees during its commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. Commencement exercises will begin at 10 a.m.
Gov. Bobby Jindal, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Following Jindal’s address, Dr. Eugene Dial, vice president for student affairs, will present the honors, and Dr. Carroll Falcon, provost and vice present for academic affairs, will present the candidates for the degrees. Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, will confer the degrees.
