Thanksgiving Holiday Closure

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Nicholls State University will be closed from Monday, Nov.23, to Friday, Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving holidays. Residence halls will reopen at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29. Classes will resume on Monday, November 30.

Prospective students with admissions questions can reach an admission staff member during this week by sending an e-mail to nicholls@nicholls.edu. For financial aid assistance, e-mail finaid@nicholls.edu.

Jubilee Christmas fundraiser

Enjoy good food and music in anticipation of Jubilee 2010!

Jubilee: A Festival of the Arts and Humanities presents an evening of fine dining and entertainment at its annual Christmas fundraiser scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at 1871 St. Mary St. in Thibodaux, the home of Robert and Mary Bond.

The evening will include musical performances by Dr. Stanley Coleman, Dr. Carol Britt, Cristina Mendoza, and Dr. Paula Van Goes, and students of the Dept. of Music. Students and faculty representing the John Folse Culinary Institute will prepare and serve a selection of holiday inspired hors d’oeuvres.

Advance tickets to the semi-formal fundraiser are $45 per person for Nicholls faculty, staff and students. Ticket prices for the general public are $60 per person in advance and $75 at the door.
