Welcome to your new university family!
We in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences are very excited that you are interested in joining us. We look forward to adding you to our awesome “family.”
If you enjoy working with adults, children and seniors, are people-oriented or enjoy helping others solve problems, the FACS Department at Nicholls State University is the place to be. We offer four related degree programs which include:
- General Family and Consumer Sciences bachelor’s degree with three concentrations to choose from:
- Child Development and Preschool Management associate degree
The FACS Department prepares you for future careers by providing hands-on experience both inside and outside of the classroom setting. Small class sizes allow our professors to devote more time to you, creating a more personal collegiate experience.
All of the department’s programs are accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and the National Council for the Accreditation for Teacher Education.
