Activation
A student can activate his/her schedule once their account has a zero or credit balance. A student may activate his/her schedule in the following ways:
- In person at the Fee Collection Center
- On-line through ICAN
- By telephone
- In writing, via mail or fax
Students are required to have their schedules activated in order to complete the registration process. Students who either pay fees in person at the Fee Collection windows, online with a credit card, through the mail, or by credit card authorization form faxed in will have their schedules activated by university personnel without any additional action required by the student. Students having a zero or credit balance as a result of a Pell Grant, Stafford Loan or other form of federal aid credited to their account, will have their schedules activated based on the signed Data Form that authorizes Nicholls State University to activate student accounts.
Students deciding not to attend Nicholls State University must notify the University as soon as possible and return to Nicholls State University any amount received as a result of any financial aid credit posted to their student account. Students failing to notify Nicholls State University that they are not attending will be reponsible for paying tuition and fees.
Students with a zero or credit balance resulting from non-federal financial aid will be responsible for activating their own schedule by using one of the following methods. Failure to activate will result in all courses being dropped.
