Tuition and Fees

Welcome

Please follow the links on the left to navigate through the Tuition and Fees Page where you can find various information.  If you have any questions, please contact the Fee Collection Center at 985-448-4058 or email feecollections@nicholls.edu.

After registering, students should contact the Fee Collection Center in Elkins Hall for schedule activation.

Please note that all student schedules must be activated, even if the amount of financial aid and scholarships received is greater than the total cost of tuition and fees.  This can be done online via the ICAN system or at the Fee Collection Center in Elkins Hall. (See Activation section for more information.)  Students can make payments at the Fee Collection Center, pay online using the ICAN system, mail in payments or pay by fax with a credit card.  (See Payment section for more information.)

Even if  you do not owe any money because of financial aid or other credit, your schedule must be activated in the Fee Collection Center.  Schedules activated based on “Estimated Financial Aid” will be deactivated if financial aid is not received by the early activation deadline.

Students having a zero or credit balance as a result of a Pell Grant, Stafford Loan or other form of federal aid credited to their account, will have their schedules activated based on the signed Data Form that authorizes Nicholls State University to activate student accounts.  Students deciding not to attend Nicholls State University must notify the University as soon as possible and return to Nicholls State University any amount received as a result of any financial aid credit posted to their student account.  Students failing to notify Nicholls State University that they are not attending will be responsible for paying tuition and fees.

Students with a zero or credit balance resulting from non-federal financial aid will be responsible for activating their own schedule.  See the Activation section for detailed instructions.
