The most unexpected part of Regina Linn’s college days as a finance major surrounded her personal finances. Coming to Nicholls State University didn’t put a huge dent in this honor student’s wallet.
“Winning as many scholarships as I did surprised me,” Linn says. “I never thought I would be rewarded for doing my best.”
After graduating in 1999, Linn used her math skills to teach high school geometry and college remedial mathematics courses. She also worked for more than three years as a customer service representative for an insurance company and for a year and a half as an outside salesperson for an electronics company.
Linn currently is a sales coordinator at AAR Electronics Inc. in Houma. She sells various systems, including telephone, fire alarm, clock, security, two-way radio, intercom, vehicle tracking and nurse call.
Linn says she most enjoyed the students and faculty she met at Nicholls and the friendships she made. She credits Nicholls for helping her use computers and work with people from different cultures in her current job.
